Making a Best Offer On eBay
Many sellers will add "Best Offer" to their Buy It Now listings on eBay for additional chances at selling an item. Let's face it, as sellers, we want to sell the item, not have it sit in our eBay store.
When you make a Best Offer, the seller can either accept the offer, reject the offer or send you a counteroffer. You can make up to 3 best offers on an item. A Best Offer is good for 48 hours or until the listing ends, whichever comes first. If a seller doesn't respond to your offer within 48 hours, the offer is cancelled.
When you make your offer, keep in mind that other offers may be coming in and the seller will most likely accept the offer with the highest price.
While the Best Offer option is a great opportunity for you to purchase an item at a lesser price, please do not insult the seller with an offer that is unreasonable. Remember, if the seller wanted to give the item away, there are many local charities that they can do that with!
